Bibliometric analysis of the publication of scientific articles on competitiveness in private hospitals

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the level of theoretical development of competitiveness by examining the scientific activity of published articles related to the competitiveness of private hospitals. This descriptive bibliometric study, focused on a specific topic, analyzed articles published in Scopus from 1996 to 2024 using VOSviewer software. The results yielded 868 documents, analyzing recurring themes, authors with the highest scientific output, the institutions from which the articles originated, the country or region of origin, the subject area, and funding sources. The findings strengthen existing knowledge in this area of ​​study while also opening new avenues for future research.
