Lista de comprobación para la preparación de envíos

Como parte del proceso de envío, los autores/as están obligados a comprobar que su envío cumpla todos los elementos que se muestran a continuación. Se devolverán a los autores/as aquellos envíos que no cumplan estas directrices.

• NATURALEZA DE LOS TRABAJOS
  
  Se aceptarán manuscritos de investigaciones originales inéditas que traten temáticas relacionadas con las ciencias sociales, preferentemente con especialidades económicas.
  TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS
  
  Original and unpublished research manuscripts addressing topics related to the social sciences will be considered for publication, with preference given to those focused on economics and related fields.
  
• RECEPCIÓN DE ARTÍCULOS
  
  Los artículos pueden recibirse en inglés o en español y deberán enviarse de manera electrónica en formato Word ingresando a la pagina http://cimexus.umich.mx o bien a la siguiente dirección de correo electrónico: cimexus.publicaciones@umich.mx
  
  MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
  The journal accepts manuscripts written in either English or Spanish. Submissions must be made electronically in Microsoft Word format through the journal's website or via email at cimexus.publicaciones@umich.mx.
• EXCLUSIVIDAD
  
  Los textos presentados deberán ser inéditos y los autores se comprometerán a no someterlos simultáneamente a otra revista para su publicación.
  
  EXCLUSIVITY
  Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original, unpublished works and must not be under consideration for publication by any other journal at the time of submission. Authors undertake not to submit the same manuscript to another publication while it is being reviewed by CIMEXUS.
• DICTAMEN
  
  Los trabajos se sujetarán al dictamen anónimo del Comité Dictaminador, integrado por especialistas en los temas de interés.
  
  Todos los trabajos son sometidos a un arbitraje de doble ciego a cargo de la Cartera de Árbitros que integra la revista, la cual está compuesta por miembros del SNI o investigadores expertos en el área pertenecientes a instituciones de investigación reconocidas a nivel nacional e internacional. Cada trabajo es revisado por al menos dos evaluadores, especificando en el dictamen si se acepta el artículo intacto, con modificaciones o si definitivamente se rechaza. En caso de contar con resultados discrepantes, se enviará el trabajo a un tercer evaluador, cuyo resultado será definitivo.
  
  El editor dará a conocer al autor contacto el resultado del arbitraje a través del formato “Observaciones”; si el trabajo es aceptado con modificaciones, el autor deberá atenderlas en un plazo no mayor a 10 días hábiles y enviará nuevamente al editor el original y el archivo electrónico del artículo junto con un archivo de respuesta a dichas observaciones en formato Word. El archivo consiste en una explicación detallada de las modificaciones realizadas tomando en cuenta todas y cada una de las observaciones señaladas por los evaluadores. Incluir el comentario del evaluador y la correspondiente acción o respuesta del autor. No es necesario incluir en este archivo las anotaciones realizadas por los evaluadores sobre el artículo.
  
  Cuando el autor demore más de 30 días en responder a las sugerencias de los evaluadores, el artículo no será considerado para publicarse en el siguiente número de la revista.
  
  El editor informará al autor contacto en su caso, el avance de su trabajo en el proceso de dictaminación, del rechazo, o la fecha de publicación del mismo.
  
  La revista se reserva el derecho de adelantar o posponer los artículos aceptados con el fin de dar una mejor estructura a cada número de acuerdo a la política editorial.
  
  Una vez que el artículo haya sido aceptado, pasará a una revisión de estilo y forma, para su versión definitiva. Se enviarán pruebas de impresión en formato PDF al autor contacto y serán devueltas al editor dos días después de haber sido recibidas. Si las pruebas no se entregan a tiempo, el artículo se publicará sin las correcciones correspondientes.
  PEER REVIEW PROCESS
  
  Manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to an anonymous evaluation conducted by the Review Committee, which is composed of specialists in the relevant fields of study.
  
  All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process carried out by the Journal’s Panel of Reviewers. This panel is composed of members of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNI) and other expert scholars affiliated with nationally and internationally recognized research institutions. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two evaluators, who indicate in their reports whether the manuscript should be accepted without changes, accepted subject to revisions, or rejected. In cases of conflicting evaluations, the manuscript will be submitted to a third reviewer, whose decision shall be final.
  
  The Editor will communicate the outcome of the review process to the corresponding author through the “Comments and Recommendations” form. If the manuscript is accepted subject to revisions, the author must address all comments within a period not exceeding ten business days and resubmit both the revised manuscript and an electronic version of the article, together with a response document in Microsoft Word format.
  
  The response document must provide a detailed explanation of the revisions made in response to each and every comment raised by the reviewers. It should include the reviewer’s comment followed by the corresponding action taken or response provided by the author. Reviewer annotations made directly on the manuscript do not need to be reproduced in this document.
  
  If the author takes more than thirty days to respond to the reviewers’ recommendations, the manuscript will not be considered for publication in the next issue of the journal.
  
  The Editor will keep the corresponding author informed, as appropriate, regarding the progress of the manuscript during the review process, its rejection, or its scheduled publication date.
  
  The journal reserves the right to advance or postpone the publication of accepted manuscripts in order to achieve the most appropriate structure and balance for each issue in accordance with its editorial policy.
  
  Once a manuscript has been accepted, it will undergo copyediting and formatting review in preparation for its final version. Page proofs in PDF format will be sent to the corresponding author and must be returned to the Editor within two days of receipt. If the corrected proofs are not returned within the specified timeframe, the article will be published without the corresponding corrections.
  
• EXTENSIÓN DEL TRABAJO Y ESPECIFICACIONES DE FORMATO
  
  a) El escrito se enviará en formato Word.
  
  b) La extensión de los artículos, incluyendo los pies de página y referencias, no deberá exceder 25 cuartillas (tamaño carta) con letra Arial a 12 puntos.
  
  c) Justificación completa, no utilizar sangría al inicio de los párrafos.
  
  d) Márgenes: Superior e inferior 2.5cm, izquierdo y derecho de 3 cm.
  
  e) Espacio: Uno y medio.
  
  f) Abreviaturas: Escribir el término completo la primera vez que se usa y seguirlo con la abreviatura entre paréntesis.
  
  g) Las expresiones matemáticas deben estar escritas claramente y se debe utilizar el Sistema Internacional de Unidades. Asimismo, los conceptos y términos científicos y técnicos deberán escribirse de forma clara y precisa.
  
  MANUSCRIPT LENGTH AND FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS
  
  a) Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  
  b) The length of the manuscript, including footnotes and references, must not exceed 25 pages (letter size) and should be prepared using Arial font, 12-point size.
  
  c) Text must be fully justified. Do not indent the first line of paragraphs.
  
  d) Margins: 2.5 cm (top and bottom) and 3 cm (left and right).
  
  e) Line spacing: 1.5.
  
  f) Abbreviations: The full term must be written out the first time it appears, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.
  
  g) Mathematical expressions must be presented clearly and should conform to the International System of Units (SI). Likewise, scientific and technical concepts and terminology must be written clearly and precisely.
  
• ESTRUCTURA DEL CONTENIDO
  
  La primera página del artículo deberá contener la siguiente información:
  
  a) Título. Deberá ser breve y claro que refleje el contenido del trabajo. No exceder de 20 palabras, escrito en español y en renglón aparte, la versión del título en inglés.
  
  b) Autor(es). Deberán incluirse los nombres de los autores, institución de trabajo del autor o autores del artículo, agregando al pie de página para cada uno su adscripción (departamento, dependencia e Institución) y correo electrónico.
  
  c) Resumen en español. Deberá ser un sólo párrafo que sintetice el propósito del trabajo y reúna las principales aportaciones del artículo en un máximo de 150 palabras, sin subdivisiones y citas bibliográficas. Esta sección se iniciará con la palabra RESUMEN al margen izquierdo, con letras negritas y sin punto. Todo manuscrito debe incluir una versión en inglés del resumen (abstract). Indicará la justificación e importancia del trabajo, la metodología y las conclusiones más importantes.
  
  d) Abstract. Igualmente, éste no deberá ser mayor a 150 palabras y deberá contener la misma información que el resumen en español.
  
  e) Palabras clave. Se deberá seleccionar un mínimo de tres y un máximo de cinco palabras claves en orden alfabético que indiquen los principales temas tratados.
  
  f) Key words. Al igual que en el inciso anterior, se deberán proporcionar un mínimo de tres y máximo de seis key words en orden alfabético que indiquen los principales temas tratados.
  
  g) Los códigos de clasificación JEL (Journal of Economic Literature). Éstos podrán consultarse en el documento anexo “JEL Classification System” o en la página electrónica http://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html.
  
  h) Introducción. Señalar en qué consiste el trabajo completo, objetivos, antecedentes, estado actual del problema e hipótesis.
  
  i) Materiales y Métodos. Describir en forma precisa el procedimiento realizado para comprobar la hipótesis y los recursos empleados en ello.
  
  j) Resultados. Describir los resultados de la investigación. Se podrán presentar datos de medición o cuantificación.
  
  k) Discusión. Presentar la interpretación de los resultados de acuerdo con estudios similares, es decir, correlacionando el estudio con otros realizados, enunciando sus ventajas y aportaciones, evitando adjetivos de elogio.
  
  l) Conclusiones. Precisar qué resultados se obtuvieron y si permitieron verificar la hipótesis; asimismo, plantear perspectivas del estudio y de su aplicación.
  
  m) Literatura Citada. Todas las referencias en el texto deberán aparecer en esta sección y viceversa.
  
  CONTENT STRUCTURE
  
  The first page of the manuscript must contain the following information:
  
  a) Title. The title should be concise and clearly reflect the content of the manuscript. It should not exceed 20 words. The title must be provided in Spanish, followed on a separate line by its English version.
  
  b) Author(s). The names of all authors must be included, together with their institutional affiliation. A footnote should be provided for each author indicating their department, institution, and e-mail address.
  
  c) Abstract in Spanish (Resumen). This section must consist of a single paragraph summarizing the purpose of the study and its main contributions in no more than 150 words. It should not contain subdivisions or bibliographic citations. The section should begin with the word RESUMEN, aligned to the left margin, in bold type and without a period. Every manuscript must also include an English version of the abstract. The abstract should state the justification and significance of the study, the methodology employed, and the main conclusions.
  
  d) Abstract. The English abstract must not exceed 150 words and should contain the same information as the Spanish summary.
  
  e) Keywords. Authors must provide a minimum of three and a maximum of five keywords, arranged alphabetically, that identify the principal topics addressed in the manuscript.
  
  f) Key Words. As in the previous section, authors must provide a minimum of three and a maximum of six keywords in alphabetical order that indicate the principal topics discussed.
  
  g) JEL Classification Codes (Journal of Economic Literature). These may be consulted in the attached document entitled JEL Classification System or on the corresponding website.
  
  h) Introduction. This section should explain the purpose of the study, its objectives, background, current state of knowledge regarding the problem, and the research hypothesis.
  
  i) Materials and Methods. This section should provide a precise description of the procedures used to test the hypothesis and the resources employed in the research.
  
  j) Results. This section should present the findings of the study and may include measurement or quantitative data.
  
  k) Discussion. This section should provide an interpretation of the results in relation to similar studies, correlating the findings with previous research, highlighting their contributions and advantages, and avoiding laudatory language.
  
  l) Conclusions. This section should clearly state the results obtained and indicate whether they support the proposed hypothesis. It should also discuss future research perspectives and potential applications of the study.
  
  m) References. All references cited in the text must appear in this section, and all entries listed in the references section must be cited in the text.
  
• TABLAS, FIGURAS Y GRÁFICOS
  
  Las tablas, figuras y gráficos deberán incluirse de manera numerada dentro del texto en el lugar en que el autor desee que aparezcan. Cabe la posibilidad de que en la edición final las tablas, figuras y gráficos sean movidos de lugar. Las tablas deberán elaborarse en formato Word. Las figuras y gráficos deben ser de alta resolución e incluirse como imágenes Word (nunca como mapa de bits). No deberán contener el título dentro de ellas y en caso de incluir texto éste deberá ser con letra Arial. Las tablas, figuras y gráficos deben incluir el título y la fuente.
  
  TABLES, FIGURES, AND GRAPHS
  
  Tables, figures, and graphs must be numbered consecutively and inserted within the text at the locations where the author wishes them to appear. However, the journal reserves the right to relocate tables, figures, and graphs during the final editing and layout process.
  
  Tables must be prepared in Microsoft Word format. Figures and graphs must be submitted in high resolution and inserted as image files in Word documents (not as bitmap images). Titles should not be embedded within figures or graphs. If text is included within figures or graphs, it must be presented in Arial font.
  
  All tables, figures, and graphs must include a title and a source.
  
• SÍMBOLOS Y ECUACIONES
  
  Los símbolos y ecuaciones matemáticas deberán ser presentados claramente. Las ecuaciones complejas deberán ser incluidas como objetos del Editor de Ecuaciones de Word.
  
  SYMBOLS AND EQUATIONS
  
  Mathematical symbols and equations must be clearly presented and properly formatted. Complex equations should be created and inserted using the Equation Editor available in Microsoft Word.
  
• NOTAS Y CITAS
  
  Las notas se presentarán al pie de página correspondiente y con numeración corrida.
  
  FOOTNOTES AND CITATIONS
  
  Footnotes must be placed at the bottom of the corresponding page and numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript.
  
• REFERENCIAS
  
  Al final del trabajo se presentarán las referencias citadas en el texto y en orden alfabético conforme al formato APA 7.
  
  REFERENCES
  
  The reference list must appear at the end of the manuscript and include only those sources cited in the text. References must be arranged alphabetically and formatted according to the APA (7th edition) citation style.
