This article aims to present the findings of a diagnostic study on the intersection between health and the return migration of women during the period from 2019 to 2021, which, in the case of the state of Puebla, unfolded within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. This qualitative study employed a Grounded Theory research design and was conducted in Puebla with 16 returned migrant women from both rural and urban settings. Participants represented different generations, including young women (18–25 and 26–35 years), middle-aged women (36–45, 46–55, and 56–65 years), and older women (over 65 years). Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The interview data were analyzed using content analysis in accordance with the principles of Grounded Theory. The study presents the perspectives of the participating women and examines their testimonies from a gender perspective.
