Abstract

This is a theoretical work on meta-evaluation in Mexico, which arose from the need to determine whether evaluations of public programs were being conducted effectively. To better understand the theoretical concepts and the limited practical applications of meta-evaluation, the theoretical aspects of public policy evaluation, the origin of our topic, are presented first, and the importance of reviewing such evaluations is emphasized.
