Abstract

In Morelia, it is estimated that there are 922 public elementary schools. Given the high student population, the quality of education must be under constant review. The general objective of this study is to analyze how equity and quality influence public elementary education in Morelia during the period 2010-2020. Using a survey methodology with 84 education experts, the results revealed a deficient degree of equity in Morelia's elementary education system. This necessitates ongoing consultation with experts and the development of effective strategies to reduce the gap between the inequalities that affect the student's learning process. In the short term, these inequalities will be considered a key element for the city's sustainable progress, as they will directly influence its economy, social environment, and natural surroundings.
