Sobre la revista
CIMEXUS es una revista científica especializada en investigación , evaluada por pares a doble ciego, publicada de manera semestral por el Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Su cobertura temática es multidisciplinaria en ciencias sociales con particular interés en las especialidades económicas.
Actualmente los artículos de la revista se encuentran en los siguientes índices y bases de datos: Índice de Revistas en Consolidación AmeliCA, Web of Science: Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Ebsco, Biblat, EconLit, Citas Latinoamericanas en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades (CLASE), Sistema Regional para Revistas Científicas de América Latina, el Caribe, España y Portugal (LATINDEX), Dialnet, Gale Cengage Learning, Directory of Research Journal Indexing (DRJI), Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico (REDIB), OCLC Worldcat, Scientific Indexing Services (SIS), Google Scholar y Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

La revista promueve las mejores prácticas editoriales a través del uso de software antiplagio (Grammarly). Para las situaciones no especificadas en la sección de ética y buenas prácticas editoriales, la revista se apega a lo estipulado por el Comitee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

CIMEXUS is a scientific journal specializing in research, peer-reviewed under a double-blind review process, and published biannually by the Institute of Economic and Business Research of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Its thematic coverage is multidisciplinary within the social sciences, with particular emphasis on economics and related fields.
