Resumen

En el trabajo muestra el avance en términos de desarrollo humano de un
grupo de migrantes que mantienen su estatus migratorio como no permitidos
legalmente (NPL) en Estados Unidos, medido a través de los índices de
desarrollo humano (IDH) elaborados a nivel de hogar con variantes en los
máximos en las dimensiones de educación y salud de ese país y de México, así
como por medio de información cualitativa relacionada principalmente con
la dimensión de conocimiento del mismo grupo, lo que nos permite observar
la manera en que el grupo de migrantes construye socialmente a partir de sus
valoraciones para lograr avances en la promoción de capacidades y oportunidades
para sí mismo y demás miembros en el hogar.

This paper shows the progress in terms of human development of a group
of migrants who maintain their immigration status as not legally permitted
(NPL) in the United States, measured through the human development indices
(HDI) prepared at the household level with variations in the maximums in
the dimensions of education and health in that country and in Mexico, as well
as through qualitative information related mainly to the knowledge dimension
of the same group, which allows us to observe the way in which the group
of migrants constructs socially based on their assessments to achieve progress in promoting skills and opportunities for themselves and other members of
the household.
