Migración y Vejez: Una mirada desde las representaciones sociales

Actualmente es necesario hacer énfasis en la relación que existe entre migración
y vejez debido a los impactos en la sociedad. Muestra de ello es que el país y
el estado de Michoacán tienen un alto índice de migraciones y su población
está envejeciendo de una manera irreversible. Lo que conllevará en los años
siguientes a tomar acciones contundentes en el estudio de éste fenómeno social.
Por ello, en este artículo nos proponemos identificar cuál es la representación
social que tiene un grupo en edad de vejez sobre la migración hacia los Estados
Unidos, identificar los contenidos de la misma y como se estructura.
Currently it is necessary to emphasize the relationship between migration and
old age due to the impacts on society. Proof of this is that the country and the
state of Michoacán have a high rate of migration and its population is aging
in an irreversible way. Which will result in the following years to take decisive
action in the study of this social phenomenon. Therefore, in this article we aim
to identify what is the social representation has a group of old-age migration
to the United States, identify the contents of it and how it is structured.
