El consumo doméstico en comunidades migrantes

RESUMEN
En este trabajo se construye una función de consumo doméstico en una
comunidad rural. Se muestra que una función tal, en este escenario recibe
efectos de variables económicas como los ingresos corrientes, las remesas
internacionales y la riqueza que posee el hogar (valor total de sus activos),
corroborando de este modo el planteamiento teórico de la hipótesis del ciclo
vital y de la teoría keynesiana. No obstante la función derivada sugiere que en
una comunidad indígena, los aspectos culturales siguen teniendo un peso
importante; ésta recibe con bastante intensidad efectos de la forma en que un
hogar financia su migración, las hectáreas de tierra que abandona de la
producción y de la propia PEA, variables que no captura ninguno de los
planteamientos referidos.

ABSTRACT
In this paper a function of domestic consumption in a rural community is
elaborated. It will be demonstrated that in this context, such a function is
affected by various other economic variables, such as current income,
international remittances, and the wealth of the household (the total value of
its assets), therefore verifying the theoretic framework of the vital cycle, and
the keynesian theory. However, the derived function suggests that in an
indigenous community cultural aspects continue to play an important role;
the community is severely affected by the different forms in which the
household finances its migration, the hectares of land that are left behind
unproductive, and the own PEA, variables that are captured by none of the
referred proposals.
