Huandacareo, Michoacán: Particularidades de la Migración a los Estados Unidos

RESUMEN
El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar y exponer las características generales
del migrante de Huandacareo a Estados Unidos, que se da a partir de la
inauguración del Periodo Rodino, que arranca en 1986 con la aprobación de
la Ley de Amnistía (IRCA), hasta nuestros días. Los resultados son producto
del trabajo de campo en dos etapas, 1992-93 y 2004-05, del cual podremos
hacer un análisis comparativo de estas dos fechas que reflejan el inicio de la
migración masiva (1986-1995), y el repunte de ésta (1995-2005). Y cotejar
estos datos nos permite observar la evolución de los perfiles y modalidades del
migrante huandacarense en estos años de éxodo internacional sin precedentes.
La importancia de comparar resultados en temporalidades distintas es que se
observa con detalle los cambios que sufre el fenómeno en espacios de tiempo
breves, sin quedarse en la explicación exponencial de un momento determinado.
Así, veremos los cambios sufridos en los niveles de escolaridad, edades, género,
estado civil, dominio del inglés, trabajos desempeñados, salarios, lugares de
destino, miembros familiares en Estados Unidos, causas por las que migraron,
redes sociales, tiempo de retorno, situación legal, etc.

ABSTRACT
Our intention in this article is to analyze and to expose characteristics general
of migrante of Huandacareo to the United States, which it occurs to the present
time from the inauguration of the Rodino Period, that starts in 1986 with the
approval of the Amnesty Law (IRCA). Our results were obtained in two periods
1992-93 and 2004-05. In this work we make an analysis comparative of these
phases that deal with on the beginning about the massive migration (1986-1995) and the rise this one (1995-2005). And to collate these data allows us
to observe the evolution of the profiles and modalities of the huandacarense
migrant in these years of international exodus without precedents. The
importance of comparing results in different times is that it is observed with
detail the changes in the phenomenon in brief spaces of time, without
remaining in the exponential explanation of a little while determined. Thus,
we will see the changes undergone in the schooling levels, ages, sort, civil
state, dominion of the English language, the carried out works, wages, familiar
places of destiny, members in the United States, causes by which migrated,
social networks, turnaround time, legal situation, etc.
